Supported a colleague in delivering new dashboard features on tight deadlines with Ruby on Rails and vanilla JavaScript

Context

Trendence provides research and data for employers via a Ruby on Rails SaaS web app.

One of my colleagues at Wunderdog required immediate help to meet their tight deadlines to implement new dashboard features.

Therefore, I joined him as a full-stack developer, together with one more Wunderdog developer.

Solution

I handled all frontend tasks to develop the new dashboard features as fast as possible. I then proceeded to support my colleague with backend work.

Thanks to my help and our work together, we were able to meet the deadlines and deliver all promised functionality.

Reflections

Even though I self-learned just a little Ruby on Rails before the project, I was able to learn more on the job, which was very refreshing and also fun.
